Dr. Vicky Rodas Tunicliffe

DR. VICTORIA RODAS TUNNICLIFFE, Clinical Coordinator of the Neubauer Hyperbaric Neurologic Center

Dr. Rodas received her doctorate of pharmacy in 1996 from Nova Southeastern College of Pharmacy and completed an advanced specialty Pharmacy Residency in Ambulatory/Primary Care in 1997.

She has held various professional positions in the academic, hospital and long-term care fields as Assistant Professor & Director of Patient Care Management at Nova Southeastern College of Pharmacy, Clinical Coordinator at Memorial Hospital West and the Broward County Health Department.

Her primary role as a Clinical Pharmacist at NHNC is to maximize the safe delivery of hyperbaric oxygen to our patients by monitoring medication levels and minimizing drug side effects and interactions. When oxygen is delivered at high pressure, it is classified as a drug, that improves metabolic function, enhances the body’s own hormonal balance and improves toxin clearance. Therefore, medications such as antibiotics, cancer drugs, and insulin must be adjusted and monitored closely.

NHNC has documented drastic reductions in medication use, including antidepressants, anti-anxiety and seizure medications. Dr. Tunnicliffe had the fortune to work with Dr. Neubauer during the very last years of his life. Today, the Neubauer Hyperbaric Neurologic Center continues his philosophy in using medications at the least toxic dosages in both adult and pediatric patients.
